12/15/07 Budd Lake NJ: On Saturday afternoon, the Budd Lake Fire Dept was dispatched for smoke coming from a 1 story detached 2 car garage at 20 Woodsedge Ave. Upon arrival of Car 50 (Dept Chief, Ken Nelson) he reported heavy smoke and fire pushing from the front and A/D corner. Engine 53 was first due and its crew stretched a 1.75" hand line to the front of the structure to make an initial attack. 2nd due Squad 56 went to work gaining access to the inside of the garage. It was found that there was a car inside the garage which was fully involved as well. Assisting Budd Lake was the Flanders Fire Dept, who was assigned as the FAST team. The fire was brought under control in under 20 minutes. The fire is under investigation by the Mt. Olive Police and the Township Office of the Fire Marshal. There were no injuries reported.
