Virginia Beach VA 12/28/07 approx 0515 hrs. Multiple calls came into the Virginia Beach 911 center reporting a fire at 1349 Riverside Drive. E-18 arrived on scene within minutes of dispatch and reported a working fire. E-18 made an initial interior attack on the fire, while the rest of the working fire dispatch arrived on scene. A RIT team and water source were established with the arrival of B-3. The fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes. The family was able to escape the house, however the familys pets, a cat and a dog perished in the fire. There were no reported injuries to any VBFD members.
