On Sunday June 15, 2008 the Budd Lake Fire Dept was dispatched to a residence on Connelly Ave for the smell of something burning. Upon arrival of Car-50 (Chief of The Dept, Kevin Maloney), he reported a 2.5 sty structure with nothing visible from the exterior. 1 Engine was requested to respond to make a thorough investigation of the residence. Nothing was found to be burning, and all units were cleared in about 15 minutes.
